Hi, This is Tiange Zhou. I use she, and her as my gender pronouns.
I studied Marketing and minored in Interactive Digital Media & Psychology in my undergrad at Drexel University. And now studying entertainment technology concentrating on Human-computer interaction at Carnegie Mellon University. I am a person who likes to think and learn how to think from a different perspective and think deeper.
I see myself as a digital media communicator, a game designer, and a UIUX designer and researcher. I learn from what I see from games, people, and everything I can interact with. I want to become a designer that bring people positive impacts. I hope I could work with my team to make a game that everyone will enjoy and gain from in the near future.
Issues I am interested in
I think the major challenge of my generation is Human self-knowledge. When people encounter problems, they always want to make themselves irrelevant. In other words, when people do things that do not consistent with their cognition, they will always self-hypnotize to make themselves irrelevant. In this way, they can evaluate and criticize others without distraction.
For now, social issues such as patriarchy, feminism, and racial discrimination have polarized people extremely seriously. People divide things into clear black and white, label them, get rid of themselves, and rush to criticize. But in fact, everything has very complicated components that need to be analyzed from various angles. But now many people are impatient and unwilling to think about whether it is related to them. When they come into contact with such problems, they will Just put a label without thinking so they can treat themselves as irrelevant.
I hope to inspire people by technology and interaction, so that people can think more when they encounter problems, instead of just seeing the surface and starting to jump to conclusions. This is also the question that I want to answer all the time, not only in the program.
I also hope I can become a person who is good at accepting, discovering, and willing to think deeply from various aspects in my whole life.
